He urged military representatives from numerous countries to enhance cooperation, particularly in managing artificial intelligence, cyber security, and space.

Dong Jun criticised the use of military force for coercion and interference, implicitly referencing the United States, and advocated for a more multilateral world order with a stronger United Nations. China also highlighted its support for developing nations, including military exports, and reaffirmed its stance on territorial issues, warning against challenges to its claims in the South China Sea and Taiwan.

Beijing has held several diplomatic events in recent weeks, portraying itself as an alternative leader to Washington. It's certainly an opportunity to engage countries who are aggrieved by how the United States is treating them, and I think China is doing precisely that. China has called for a more multilateral world order, one where the United Nations has a stronger role. Chinese leaders have criticised Western-led blocs and alliances, saying that the interests of developing nations need to be taken into account. China's support for countries in the global south extends beyond just words. Domestically produced weapons are exported to partner nations, including jets used by Pakistan during a skirmish with India in May. Where Pakistan is relying on China is more into new technology, because you know, China within the past 10 to 20 years, they have emerged as a tech giant. Beijing's military capabilities were on display during a parade marking the end of World War II earlier this month. China insists it's a force for peace, but has warned countries who infringe on what it considers to be its territory, be it in the South China Sea or Taiwan, to be ready for war.
