Chicago is eight games back, but this is a series that really could make or break the NL Central with the Brewers either really making it unattainable for Chicago to chase them or could breathe a little life into them. I'm gonna step outside so you can just see what's happening inside Gallagher way. It's still about an hour until first pitch here. A lot of Brewers fans making their way up or down here from Milwaukee. The Brewers are, of course, coming off their 14 game winning streak after being effort snapping it yesterday in Cincinnati, while the Cubs picked up a series win against the Pirates. Today's double header is part of a makeup game from June that was rained out, which it could also be an issue. Once again today, there's a chance for some storms at the end of Game one, but definitely is Game two rolls around at seven p.m. Just a few minutes ago, I caught up with two Brewers fans who actually flew in from Arizona for that game in June. They're back for the makeup today and are glad that things kind of worked out the way they did with the Brewers now being the hottest team in baseball. Seeing Vaughn come in Mizorowski take fire and when they're doing it without Cheerio. So it's exciting. They've got pitching, they've got relief pitching, they've got hitting. It looks like the whole package and especially when the Cubs are starting to trend downwards, I think they got the division. Hopefully and Michael's son William is turning nine in two days, so he's hoping that today will be an early birthday present for him. As far as the starters for today's game, both teams really hoping to set the tone in Game one with the Brewers deploying Freddy Peralta and then the Cubs that their star rookie Kate Horton, who's only allowed one run in his last five outings. As far as the first pitch today for Game one, that is at 1 20. And then Game two is set for 705. Of course, hoping that there will be no rain or storms in the forecast for that one.
