The contest over Pokrovsk, a crucial logistics center for the Donbass area, has persisted for nine months. Ukrainian air force data indicates that 39 Russian drones targeted Ukrainian territories, of which 24 were successfully intercepted. The impacts of these drone strikes were particularly felt in the regions of Dnipro, Donetsk, and Zaytomyr. Concurrently, efforts to evacuate families, especially those with children, from frontline areas in Donetsk are ongoing to ensure civilian safety. In situations where families with children refuse evacuation, a specialized unit known as the Guardianship Authorities has the right to temporarily relocate the children, as per a juvenile prevention department inspector. Russia, meanwhile, has laid claim to gaining control over the village of Zuravka.



Battle for Pokrovsk: Ukraine's military pushes back Russians

Meanwhile, evacuations of families with children in front-line towns and villages of the Donetsk region continue. In cases of families with children who refuse to leave, a special unit named the Guardianship Authorities are allowed to temporarily remove children, according to an inspector of the juvenile prevention department. On Thursday, Russia claimed to have taken control of the village of Zuravka.

The White House said the U.S. is sending 10 F-35 fighter jets to Puerto Rico. It comes as the Defense Department confirmed that two armed Venezuelan F-16 fighter jets flew over a U.S. Navy ship in the region on Thursday.
