Australian bowlers have once again done the heavy lifting in the Test against West Indies, with big wickets from Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland. The West Indies narrowly avoided recording the lowest score in Test history.

Mitchell Starc took five wickets in just 15 balls, marking the fastest five-wicket haul in Test history and reaching his 400th Test wicket milestone. Scott Boland followed with a hat-trick, becoming only the 10th Australian to achieve this feat, with the last being Peter Siddle in 2010. 

The West Indies struggled throughout the innings, coming close to setting a new record for the lowest Test score before Starc ended their resistance. Starc, playing his 100th Test, expressed humility about his achievements, focusing instead on the team's victory.

He's given its 400 Test match wickets. His 5-5, the fastest haul in Test history, coming off just 15 balls. I don't think we imagined it was going to happen as quickly as it did, but when you've got an attack like ours, some things can happen like that. And the stout attack didn't stop there, thanks to Scotty Boland. There's an edge, Scotty Boland. After then trapping Shemar Joseph, LBW, the unassuming veteran had his hat-trick. Yeah! He's got it! He's got it! Scotty Boland has got a hat-trick. Just the 10th Australian to do it, the last Peter Siddall in 2010. I was a bit nervous on that last ball, but, yeah, amazing feeling. The record of the lowest score in Test history also very nearly fell. The West Indies added just one more before Stark put a stop to it. At the stash! Um, abysmal comes to mind. As for the ever-humble Stark, in his 100th Test, he never wanted it to be about him. It's certainly been uncomfortable throughout the week. I was happy just to have a win and sing the song.
