A decades-old murder case involving Elwood Jones, previously convicted of killing Rhoda Nathan in 1996, has resurfaced amid conflicting claims about crucial hepatitis B test results. The Hamilton County Prosecutor dismissed the case, citing Jones' negative hepatitis B test as exculpatory, but the coroner's office and Jones' defense attorney now dispute the accuracy and interpretation of the medical records.

Defense attorney Jay Clark asserts that the positive hepatitis test result belongs to the victim, not Jones, and accuses authorities of withholding evidence, which he describes as a Brady violation. The coroner maintains she can only comment on documents in the official case file, while Clark alleges that important evidence was destroyed years ago after being shared with a previous attorney.

One of the main reasons why the Hamilton County Prosecutor dismissed the case against Jones came down to hepatitis B. Pillage says Jones tested negative for the virus so he couldn't be the killer that it excludes him. As a suspect, the Hamilton County Coroner's Office now appears to contradict that key medical detail used to dismiss the case against Jones, the corner providing one test result somewhere along the way. The hepatitis negative result was put in incorrectly and the coroner was put in incorrectly in the final autopsy report and Elwood Jones is defense attorney providing another Jones attorney Jay Clark told us the corner is wrong. She should have just kept her mouth shut. Clark claims he has the correct test results. Clark says the corner has misread the records in this case. The positive hepatitis test results shared with us by Clark shows an ID number matching the death record number in Nathan's corners report. The document shared with us by the coroner shows Nathan's result contradicting pillage shows a different ID number. This is the way it was produced with that 252 here and this is run by the corner. That ID number is 252. In other words, Clark says the positive hepatitis test belongs to the victim wrote in Nathan, not Jones. The negative test results belongs to Jones. That's how we established that the Brady violation. They withheld that. So what the corner has done is she's without realizing it, and I think for. God knows what reason has confirmed and made clear that they have withheld this. We reached out to corner lack. She's a Marco. She told us I've explained from the beginning that I can only comment on the information that is in the case file. The document Mr Clark has produced is not in the case file to that. Clark says and if it's not in her file, you have to ask why isn't it in her file? It's not in there because they destroyed it back in the day.
