China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also paid tribute, highlighting Buhari's role in strengthening China-Nigeria relations. Buhari will be buried in his home state of Katsina, and a seven-day national mourning period has been declared in Nigeria.

Muhammadu Buhari will be buried in a simple funeral in his home state of Katsina in Nigeria. President Bolat Inubo has declared a seven-day national mourning period in honor of his predecessor.
