That is something that's been a big political issue here in Israel. Some of the hard right members of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet have been pushing for no ceasefire and really no end to the fighting unless Hamas is completely destroyed. So that is what's on the table and from what we've been hearing the kind of tone we've been hearing from Netanyahu it does look as though there is a tough line being taken. This is what he had to say about the question of whether there could be an end to the war. At the beginning of the ceasefire we will enter negotiations for a permanent end of the war meaning a permanent ceasefire. If it can't be achieved in 60 days of talks we'll achieve it by other means by using the power of our heroic army. So that's what seems to be at stake here whether in fact Israel will continue the war. Now just a few days ago when Netanyahu was meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington it sounded like ceasefire was something that was just really a formality. The negotiations looked like they were very optimistic at that time. Trump even suggested that it would only be a few days before a deal would be signed.
