Newark police are requesting the public's help in locating 33-year-old Janae Ellis, who is wanted for questioning regarding a shooting incident that occurred near Riverside Court and McCarter Highway. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and found four spent shell casings and property damage, but no injuries were reported. 

Separately, Fairfield police arrested Bojian Zhang of Jersey City after discovering a machete, an airsoft gun, and a sword in his car during a traffic stop. Authorities urge anyone with information about Ellis to contact Crime Stoppers.

The Fairfield Police Department says Bojian Zhang was pulled over on Route 46 Monday afternoon. While speaking with Zhang, an officer saw a machete on the floor near the driver's feet. The officer safely got the weapon. Police say Zhang admitted he had an airsoft gun in the glove box. A sword was also reportedly found in the car.
