Gentry Jeevers is a content creator, and Avery Day is a political commentator. So welcome to you both. I've followed you both intently on social media, so I'm familiar with what you put out. So TikTok banned both of you. I'll start with you, Gentry. What was that like, and how did it impact your followers and content? Well, first of all, thanks for having me on. I was initially banned in 2020. Blew up, got millions and millions of views, hundreds of thousands of followers, and it was really demoralizing. I was going, I went from, you know, having this huge platform to basically nothing. So I had to start over, and I've had to start over a handful of times. But it didn't stop me from trying to keep the truth out there. The way that I look at it is, you know, the left was on there, and they were spreading whatever they thought was true. And so I think it's really important that conservatives and Christians are also on the app spreading truth. The way that I distill this down into like a one simple phrase is, the solution to pollution is dilution. And so we're the dilution to all that pollution that's out there. And I appreciate you wearing the T-shirt to honor Charlie Kirk. And Avery, now that a U.S.-based company is taking over, do you think creators like you will be able to get more protection or clarity about its rules? I can only hope. TikTok has been an up and down wild experience for me, as country has mentioned. If you post the truth on TikTok or conservative content, there's, you have to post it knowing that you're taking the risk of getting taken down, your account taken down. I, my accounts last about a month now. I just post knowing that they're gonna get taken away. And it is, it's pretty tough to build a platform and build a community and then it just get taken from you. So I would hope, I would hope that TikTok is going to change their terms and conditions, their rules and regulations. But I, I'm so used to TikTok being such a mess that I can't, I feel like I can't rely on that to build a community, which is sad. In a time that we need conservative voices now more than ever. Right, we need that dilution. Security and data concerns are a part of this deal, Gentry. So how do you feel about TikTok retraining its algorithm, especially with large U.S. companies like Oracle now and Silver Lake driving the app? I feel like our data is gonna be more well-protected. I'd much rather have the U.S. have our data than China. But I think that even with TikTok currently as it is, it was still a very effective tool. We just all watched the Charlie Kirk Memorial this last weekend and hundreds of millions of people tuned in and there's a really good argument that can be made that he had such an effective message and had the delivery method like TikTok, which allowed his videos to go viral. I'm not sure why Charlie's videos go viral and other people's don't, but I don't think we can discount the effectiveness on a platform and speaking truth can have. Avery, imagine you serving on an advisory council to TikTok. What changes would you like to see and what transparency needs to be embraced by the company? I think that we just follow Elon Musk's ex-platform in terms of what he does is he follows the law. He's not trying to set and censor his own rules and regulations. That's what free speech is. Free speech falls under the First Amendment and we need to have platforms that follow the law and not censor voices that need to be heard. So I would just get rid of all of these rules and regulations. I would just follow suit with Elon. Yeah, Gentry, just to shift gears because you are wearing the exact shirt that Charlie Kirk wore the day of his assassination. I was following you on X and other platforms and you were very vocal about Charlie and his legacy. Can you speak more to that? Yes, thank you for the opportunity. I never met Charlie Kirk, but he had a huge impact on my life. I would spend a couple hours a day listening to his podcast, watching his tweets. I run a news Instagram page, so he helped keep me very informed. I would often post clips of him. He was very, very impactful. But I think after we saw the memorial this weekend, I think that one of the things that Charlie wanted to point people towards is the truth of Christ and the importance of going back to church and the foundations of this country, which is a Christian country. And I think people are finally starting to hear that. My church, Freedom House in Charlotte, North Carolina, was filled to the brim the last couple Sundays. In fact, we actually live-streamed the memorial and I'm hearing reports, all the Bibles, they're talking about their faith online, just in a really authentic way. Like, I don't know what this all is, but I feel this tug. I think the Holy Spirit is moving in a big way in the U.S. And I'm incredibly sad and grieved, but also incredibly excited and joyful for the future. I wish it didn't have to happen this way, but I think that we're at the brink of a great awakening because of all of this. Yeah. Absolutely. America is definitely going through a revival, as you saw at the Charlie Kirk Memorial. And you know what? Free speech is not dead. It's actually gained more strength. Yeah.
