The decision follows similar actions by universities and federal agencies to scale back diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives under pressure from the administration. The move has raised concerns among museum professionals and visitors about the possibility of censorship and the politicization of historical displays. While some visitors support the review, others argue that museums should be left to experts to ensure a balanced and comprehensive portrayal of history.

This expert in museum ethics says it sends a chilling message to museums. They're already responding, I'm sure, by anticipating potential censorship and self-censoring. You know, to be honest, no. But if he feels that there's some woke things in there then I feel like he has the right to do that. Others rather Trump leave America's story to experts. If you really want to know the truth there's a display of a beautiful display of the first lady and Donald Trump in there as well. So if it's not broke, don't fix it.
