People like the Republican Party of Texas, when they can't win, they cheat. 1,700 miles away from Austin, in Sacramento, the California legislature is expected to vote on its own new congressional maps, designed to offset any political gains made by Texas Republicans. California Democrats want to put the issue up for a vote in a special election on November 4, hoping to avoid years of court challenges, while Texas Democrats now plan to take their battle from the statehouse to the courthouse.
