These scenes have become all too familiar to Palestinians in Gaza. Israel's military says it has begun the first stages of an operation to seize Gaza City. But it had already intensified its attacks on the area for days now. For many, safety has become an illusion, and constant displacement has become the norm. Israel is now planning to forcibly displace nearly one million Palestinians to concentration zones in the south. Last time I was displaced to the south, but this time there is no possibility for me to move because our displacement is death. Let's face it with honor next to our homes. Displacement will have consequences more than safety. There is no safety anyways. No corner of Gaza is spared. From the north to the south, everyone is at risk. This was the scene in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza. An Israeli strike hit a makeshift displacement camp, leaving people with no shelter once again. This is my tent. Within three minutes they told us to evacuate, and I got the children out, people, women, babies, elderly. They all evacuated. This is our situation. Those tents were great. We were living here, happy. This is the area they said was safe. I've been displaced from one place to another, from north to central of the Gaza Strip, and then here. We are tired. We are tired. Flour bags now carry people's belongings, and what little food they had is now destroyed. Across the Strip, survival has become a struggle.
