Welcome back. President Trump has given Hamas between three and four days to respond to his offer of a peace plan for Gaza. Meanwhile, Hamas leaders are meeting in Doha today with the Qataris and also representatives from Turkey as they weigh their response to the plan. Well, we've just had some news in from Qatar's prime minister in the last few minutes. He's saying that the plan for Gaza is still in the early stages and that the Qataris require clarification and discussion. Yaakov Laffin is with me in the studio. Yaakov, does that sound like they're playing for time? 100%. And let's remember that there was a draft of this deal that the Qataris had put forward and the draft that came out of the Trump administration is not the same draft. It underwent changes. The Trump team, I'm sure working with Israel, changed this draft in order to reflect Israel's core war goals. So it comes as no surprise to me now that Qatar is taking a half a step back. I don't think they were pleased with the final draft at all. And certainly I think they're finding it impossible to market this to Hamas, because what's Hamas being asked to do here? To give up its only insurance policy, the hostages, and then to disarm. So that's the end of their jihad, of their terror regime, of their terror army. So I think that Hamas told Qatar, look, you have to get a better deal for us and play for time. I think that's what we're seeing. And I'm not surprised. Do you think Qatar is determined to keep Hamas alive, even if that risks the wrath of Donald Trump? Yes. I think that Qatar has every interest in keeping Hamas alive, but they are doing it in a very sophisticated way, in the two-faced, very sophisticated strategy. You know, they signed a $1.2 trillion package of deals with Trump back in May. They know how to forge relations with the United States, with Europe. They're by their way into influence. And they're always playing this balancing act while supporting Islamists and jihadists across the Middle East. So they're going to be playing this double game. And this is just the latest example of that. And this is not just Qatar saying what it just said. I'm sure that this is Hamas telling Qatar, you have to buy us some time, because the deal as it stands is the end of their war. It's a defeat for them, and it's a victory for Israel, if any of these steps are implemented in a significant manner. So I am sure that they're going to be playing for time. And this is just the beginning of those efforts. I wouldn't like to be the country standing between President Trump and the Nobel Peace Prize, but...
