Chelsea won the tournament with a 3-0 thrashing of Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain, pulling off a dramatic upset. The Blues went into the finals heavily regarded as the underdogs amid a series of stunning performances by PSG which saw them dominate teams like Real Madrid. Their impressive 436 minutes in the tournament without conceding a single goal quickly came to an end. The Blues were off to a rapid start with rising star Cole Palmer blasting a bottom corner shot giving them a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute. The Chelsea and England forward pounced again shortly after scoring his second goal in the 30th minute. A goal in the dying minutes of the first half by Brazilian newcomer Joao Pedro sealed the deal making the Blues the first champions of the new expanded format of the tournament. It's also the club's second consecutive title since claiming the Europa Conference League with a 4-1 win over Real Betis at the end of May.
