The mattress is located in Villa 11, the resort's largest and most luxurious villa, which spans over 8,000 square feet and features high-end amenities such as Hermès toiletries and multiple outdoor seating areas.

The resort has attracted high-profile guests, though staff remain discreet about their identities. A night in Villa 11 costs around 13,000 euros, with proceeds supporting the island's conservation program. Once overrun by invasive species, North Island now hosts hundreds of sea turtle nests, rare birds, and about 170 giant Aldabra tortoises, including Brutus, who is over 150 years old.

I like to believe that we have the biggest mattress in the Indian Ocean. And there's a story behind it. Don't count on Nicholas to tell you all the details. He can't. The story is we had a guest. That's because he works at North Island, a private resort in the Seychelles, where both British and Hollywood royalty have reportedly stayed. His job prevents him from spilling the beans. Trust me, we tried. I've read so many articles of various high-profile clients being to North Island, but I'm not too sure if they did. But yes, it's popular for a lot of high-profile clients and guests, yes. What he can do is show you around this luxurious resort's most luxurious villa. First of all, a warm welcome to Villa 11, the largest villa on North Island. This villa is huge. Just over 8,000 square feet. Despite the space, it has just one bedroom with that one bed, which is more than twice the size of a king mattress. 290 centimeters, plus minus. I mean, a bit more than that. Almost three. The villa is filled with Hermès toiletries and more outdoor seating areas than you can count. Speaking of space, there's a lovely hidden spot where you can have your morning coffee as well. Follow me, it's right this way. We call it the sunrise spot. By far, it's one of my favorite spots in Villa 11, where if I were a guest, this is where I would come, pour my coffee and enjoy the view. Oh, and one more thing. Each of our guests, we provide them with a phone where they can get in touch with their butler. One night in North Island's Villa 11 starts at 13,000 euros, roughly $15,000. That price tag is exorbitant, but it also helps fund North Island's conservation program. In the 1970s, the island was overrun by invasive species, thanks to a coconut plantation that eventually went bust. Today, it's home to hundreds of sea turtle nests and birds that were on the verge of extinction. You'll also find about 170 giant Aldabra tortoises. Hello, Brutus, one of the oldest tortoise on the island, around 150 plus years. Brutus has seen it all, from North Island's plantation days to its famous clientele.
