How do we learn, grow, collaborate, and celebrate one another within a world-class institution. When we inaugurated Rockefeller Wing, it was probably the moment when the Met really became a more universal museum. Now more than 40 years later, we saw that we have an opportunity to redo the Wing, do it in a way that is basically profoundly connected with our understanding of these cultures of today. It's a great celebration of the arts of Africa, the arts of Oceania, and the arts of Asian Americas. Celebrating all of these incredible cultures and all of the incredible creative energies that people bring to the table, and it's absolutely beautiful. It feels incredible, but what's most important, it feels right. We have many layers of fresh content that we developed, that we customized for this initiative, and one of them is a new audio guide that is narrated by Anjali Kidjo. Art is the only place and the only thing we have to combat darkness, to combat ignorance, to combat dictatorship, whatever you call it, because art has not any other agenda than bringing us together.
