The settlers act without any accountability or deterrence and they do what they want to do. Israel says that construction had been authorised, with settlers saying dozens of locals came to throw stones. But according to Um Al-Khair's residents, a bulldozer had sought to cut off the village's water and electricity earlier in the day. It's seen here moving towards the village. It's not Yonan Levy's first run-in with Palestinians either. He's still under sanction from European, British and Canadian authorities for leading attacks on Palestinians and their property, with Biden-era travel bans and asset freezes lifted by Donald Trump earlier this year. If the sanction on this settler had been enforced, he wouldn't have been able to kill an innocent person. He left three children behind. The West Bank has only continued to mount since the war in Gaza broke out nearly two years ago.
