President Donald Trump has elaborated on his past association with Jeffrey Epstein, stating that Epstein recruited young women from the Mar-a-Lago spa, including Virginia Giuffre. Trump explained to reporters that this recruitment was a key reason for his decision to remove Epstein from the Mar-a-Lago club. 

Virginia Giuffre, who previously accused Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking, was mentioned by Trump as one of the individuals recruited from Mar-a-Lago. Giuffre, who worked as a spa attendant at the club, died by suicide earlier this year. Ghislaine Maxwell, who has denied the allegations, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for conspiring to groom underage girls for sexual abuse and is appealing her conviction.

A little tough to hear the president there, but that's not all he said about a topic he, I thought, didn't want the media to pay any attention to. What is the bigger picture he's now painting? Good morning, Errol. Well, this exchange was significant because the president was giving more details about the reasoning behind why he says he kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach years ago. And during his questioning by reporters in Scotland, he alluded to Epstein poaching his employees. So the next day on Air Force One, as they were traveling back, reporters really pressed him on specifics. Who was poached by Epstein? And he acknowledged that it was young women from his spa. In that exchange, you heard one of the reporters bring up the name Virginia Giuffre. As you know, Errol, she was one of Epstein's most vocal accusers of sex trafficking. And she alleged that Ghislaine Maxwell approached her when she was a spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago. Now, sadly, she died by suicide earlier this year, and Maxwell has denied the allegations. But as we know, Errol, Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence convicted of conspiring to groom underage girls for sexual abuse, a sentence she's now trying to appeal. Remarkable notes there.
