The incident occurred on August 14, 2023, when Probst was struck by a stolen car while riding his bicycle, an act that was recorded and later circulated online.

Ayala, who drove the vehicle, received a sentence of 20 years to life, while Keys, who recorded the incident, was sentenced to 18 years to life. Both sentences were handed down in accordance with plea agreements, and parole eligibility will only be considered after the minimum terms are served. The court proceedings included emotional statements from Probst's family, who expressed ongoing trauma from both the loss and the public release of the video.

This case is first remembered by that horrific video showing the moment investigators say Andy probes was deliberately hit and killed while riding his bike. Well, today that video was once again at the center of the courtroom, followed by emotional words from the people who loved him most. The moment I learned of his death, all I could do is scream and yell. It felt as if my heart was ripped and torn into pieces for family. Those words are forever tied to what happened next. This video from the morning of August 14th 2023 is almost impossible to watch. It shows the moments before 64 year old Andreas Andy Probst is hit while riding his bicycle in a marked bike lane. You believe it's probably gonna go fatal. We're gonna shut this whole place down. Police say the car was stolen and that the crash was intentional. There was no guys inside had ski masks on. One was blue, one was red. Investigators say then 17 year old Jesus Ayala was driving and 16 year old Jameer keys was in the passenger seat recording from inside the car. The video quickly spread online, showing the final moments of a man simply riding his bike. Records reveal probes died from blunt force trauma to the head and suffered other injuries. Nevada versus cases. I love months later, the case took another painful turn when the defendant's courtroom behavior drew attention. Seen here, smiling, laughing and making obscene gestures in front of the victim's family. At the end of the day, I miss my dad on Tuesday inside the sentencing. The focus was on what the family says they've lost and what they'll live with. The defendant's actions ended my father's life and destroyed ours. No sentence could bring him back. I remind you they didn't just kill Andy. They failed his murder and released it to the world, forcing his final terrifying moments into the eyes of strangers. That image haunts me every single day. After hearing from the family and both sides in court, Judge Jacqueline Bluth imposed the sentences in accordance with plea agreements. Both defendants previously entered Ayala sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. Key sentenced to 18 years to life. Both declined to speak so offended that when you saw that body hit your windshield and roll away, the first thing you didn't think was, oh my gosh, what have we done? Clearly, I know, you know, now it's much more slap in the wrist. Um, but there are no words that can convey the pain that you two have caused. And the sentences mean both men will spend decades in prison with parole eligibility only after serving the minimum terms set by the court reporting in northwest Las Vegas.
