Students across Sydney and New South Wales received their Higher School Certificate (HSC) results, marking the end of their secondary education. The day was filled with emotional celebrations, with students expressing appreciation for their teachers and the support they received throughout their schooling.

This year's cohort, who began high school during COVID-19 lockdowns, celebrated not only their academic achievements but also their newfound freedom. A record number of students received university entry scores, and top-performing schools included North Sydney Boys, James Roos, Sydney Grammar, North Sydney Girls, and Normanhurst Boys.

This year, the top schools, North Sydney Boys, then James Roos, Sydney Grammar, North Sydney Girls and Normanhurst Boys. A record 60,443 students received a Uni Entry School, or ATAR. But they're not just smart, they're wise. ATAR doesn't define you, they always say that. There's always pathways to do what you want. What's your advice to the next cohort? Definitely have a bit of balance, don't get stuck in your room studying. Definitely go out. It's worth remembering when this lot started high school, they were still in COVID lockdowns.
