Florida is currently experiencing sharply contrasting weather patterns. Tampa has reported a record dry September, while Miami has received 162% of its average rainfall, leading to scattered thunderstorms and isolated heavy downpours in parts of the state. 

Coastal flooding remains a concern, particularly along Florida's east coast, with reports of tidal flooding and flooded roads in areas like Flagler Beach. King tides and rough surf are expected to continue contributing to these coastal hazards, as water levels take longer to recede in affected waterways.

So compared to the historical average, it was 162% I believe is the exact percentage. But right now, no rain into Tampa. We do have scattered thunderstorms into portions of Louisiana, far southern portions there along the gulf. As this round of storms really is taking its time to move in from the actual gulf scattered showers into the gulf coast of texas. But I do want to zoom into this one cell in florida. We went a couple hours, probably about an hour and a half to two hours without any thunderstorms, no lightning in florida, really just scattered showers. But take a look at this that has been strengthening, can't rule out some stronger wind gusts from this as well. And you can see an isolated heavy downpour moving just south of Palm City and moving its way to almost the immediate last really at this point. But one of the other things that I want to pull up here are our storm reports because one of the big stories for the weekend in addition to the rain and the thunderstorms that are going to start to move into more this area and right around here is where we're gonna see the heaviest rainfall the next couple of days. But if we turn our storm reports on, you can see coastal flooding that does continue to be a concern. Just like I was saying through the weekend, we still have rough surf rip currents and coastal flooding. Then the king tides roll in bringing more coastal flooding. So something to keep in mind along the Atlanta coast here, the east coast of florida. Let's take a look at some of these reports. Flagler beach reporting some title flooding. We have seen some roads flooded from these things, but also a lot of these reports are coming from more inland areas. But you have these waterways that are ultimately connected to the ocean. So tide comes in, the water gets trapped a little bit. It takes more time for those water levels to go down.
