This time we're postured for the election. It's what we do. It's just on a tighter timeline, but we have a great group that comes together and we make sure that the election is successful. Assistant registrar of voters, Sean Brom tells us outreach is a priority. It begins with a postcard to all registered voters, followed by a voter information pamphlet with options and centers. Finally, a ballot packet with details about the race. This election will also have fewer vote centers than a general, just 68 county wide compared to 235 last November. Because there are less vote centers, we want to make sure that they are big enough and we have the equipment there to make sure we can process all voters that you come through in a timely and efficient manner. Election officials are encouraging San Diegans to vote early, whether by mail, drop box or at any vote center when they open and with control of Congress potentially hinging on just a few seats, turnout in San Diego could carry national weight on Election Day.
