From trash to tech: A Salt Lake City group is giving old devices a new purpose.

Volunteers repair donated electronics and offer them at low cost, with desktops available for as little as $35 and laptops for $60. The program also provides basic digital literacy training to recipients, helping them connect to the internet and set up essential accounts.

According to the group, a significant number of households in Utah still lack internet access or online devices, leaving many students and families at a disadvantage. The initiative aims to address this digital divide by making technology more accessible and supporting those who may not have the means to purchase new equipment.
