Russian forces conducted a large-scale attack on Ukraine, targeting gas facilities and multiple cities across the east, north, and south of the country. According to Ukraine's air force, over 380 Iranian-made Shahed drones and 35 missiles were launched, with more than 300 drones and 17 missiles intercepted. However, 78 drones and 18 missiles struck their targets, causing casualties and extensive damage.

The attacks resulted in at least one death in Donetsk and injuries in Kherson, Zaporizhia, and Kharkiv. The Kharkiv region experienced the heaviest damage, with civilian homes and critical infrastructure hit. Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz reported that several of its facilities in Kharkiv and Poltava were struck, marking the most extensive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure since the beginning of the conflict.

One person was killed in Donetsk in the eastern Donbass region, the flashpoint frontline since Russia waged its all-out war. In the south, five people were injured in Kherson and two others in Zaporizhia after the Kremlin targeted residential houses and apartment buildings. The northeastern Kharkiv region sustained the heaviest blow as over a dozen missiles and a flurry of drones pummeled various parts of the region. Local officials say at least two were injured and civilian homes and critical infrastructure sustained serious damage. Ukrainian energy giant Naftogaz says a number of its facilities in Kharkiv and the adjacent Poltava regions were struck. Energy officials say the attacks were the most extensive on the country since Moscow launched its invasion well into its fourth year.
