Tropical moisture from the remnants of Raymond will bring more rain to the Desert Southwest early this week. A flood watch remains in effect for the southern half of Arizona through Monday and includes places like Phoenix and Tucson.

Moisture associated with Raymond is spreading across the US Southwest, bringing rain and thunderstorms to areas including the Four Corners, central Utah, Flagstaff, and much of New Mexico. The rainfall is also extending into the Texas Panhandle, while a separate Pacific system is delivering additional precipitation to the Great Basin, California, and Salt Lake City. 

These weather systems are providing much-needed rainfall to the region, with forecasts indicating continued wet conditions for the first part of the week. The precipitation is considered beneficial for the western US, which often experiences dry conditions.

We'll continue to keep that spreading up into the Four Corners, Grand Junction, to Denver, you guys can see it, yet again around central Utah. And then notice the cluster of storms in the White Mountains around Flagstaff, due east, and a lot more into the New Mexico area. So whether you're in Las Cruces, up into Albuquerque, Taos, New Mexico, all of you will see rain and thunderstorms in your forecast today. Some of that coming up in the Panhandle of Texas. Oh yeah, look at this new system coming in from the Pacific that's bringing more rain to the Great Basin, California, and yet again back into places like Salt Lake City. So this is very beneficial from a west perspective, whether it's coming from the tropics in the south or coming from the Pacific. You guys have a lot of rainfall to deal with for the first part of this week.
