US President Donald Trump is scheduled to co-chair a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The summit brings together approximately 20 international leaders, including most European world leaders and the UN Secretary-General, to discuss the next steps in the Gaza peace process following a recently implemented ceasefire.

While leaders from the Arab world and the Palestinian Authority are expected to attend, there will be no representatives from Israel or Hamas. The summit aims to solidify the current agreement and explore further details of the peace process for Gaza and the wider region.

We're just hearing the Israeli foreign ministry saying, welcome home to the seven hostages released just over an hour ago by Hamas. That was our correspondent, Noga Tarnapolski, who's following it all for us very closely from hostage square. Also in Israel, shortly in the next half an hour or so, the U.S. President Donald Trump is set to touch down. He'll be meeting with hostage families there before addressing the Knesset. But it will be a very short trip in Israel for the U.S. President. Within four hours, he's expected to get back on his plane and fly across to Egypt to Sharm el-Sheikh, where there is a meeting of some 20 international leaders sitting down. They want to discuss the next part of what they are calling a peace plan, but many aren't at this stage, but the next phase of what could or should happen for Gaza and the wider region. We can cross now live to our correspondent in Egypt, Nouria Tesson, to find out a bit more. Nouria, tell us a bit more about this meeting, exactly who is taking part and what is the goal of it? Well, most of the European world leaders have confirmed they're going to attend. We have the confirmation of the Secretary General of the United Nations. And it's going to be co-chaired, of course, by the United States President Donald Trump and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi from Egypt. Some leaders from the Arab world have confirmed also their attendance. And we have not a clear schedule as yet, but it's planned that President Trump and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi have a meeting. And after that, they will release, they will deliver statements on what we are gonna be talking about in this meeting. We are expecting that they will discuss more details of this peace process. They want to solidify this agreement that was implemented last, this ceasefire that was implemented last Friday. And we are expecting no representative from Israel and no representative from Hamas, but we are expecting someone from the Palestinian Authority. Indeed, Mahmoud Abbas expected to debate Nouri El-Tesson. We'll count on you to keep us up to date as that meeting gets underway. But for now, thanks very much.
