The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $750 million after no ticket matched all the winning numbers in the most recent drawing. This makes it the tenth largest jackpot in Powerball history. The winner, if there is one, will have the option to take a lump sum payment of approximately $338 million before taxes or receive the full amount in annual payments over 29 years, with each payment increasing by about five percent. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 292.2 million, according to Powerball.

So what you can do is take a cash lump sum payment of about three hundred and thirty eight million dollars. That would be before taxes. Or if we're dreaming here, you can take the full seven hundred million dollar option. It's in that case, you would get one big payment followed by twenty nine annual payments, and those payments read would increase by about five percent every year. So the thing you need to know here is the next big drawing is tonight. And the odds of winning the top prize in this one are one in two hundred and ninety two point two million.
