The discussions reflect ongoing efforts to address security guarantees and territorial integrity for Ukraine, though key details and concessions remain unresolved.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said earlier today that he plans to meet with U.S. and other international officials this week to discuss a potential meeting with Russia's Vladimir Putin. And that follows comments from Vice President J.D. Vance on Meet the Press, suggesting that the administration is well aware that Moscow hasn't lived up to its end of the bargain in every case. What they have conceded is the recognition that Ukraine will have territorial integrity after the war. They've recognized that they're not going to be able to install a puppet regime in Kyiv. That was, of course, a major demand at the beginning. And importantly, they've acknowledged that there is going to be some security guarantee to the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Again, have they made every concession? Of course they haven't. CBS News senior national security correspondent Charlie Daggett brings us more on this from the Pentagon. Charlie, good morning to you. He's trying to meet with, you know, U.S. and international allies, so he can meet with Putin, especially considering that we heard from Russia's Foreign Minister Lavrov, I think, yesterday, saying there will not be a one-on-one. So where is the momentum from Trump's one-on-one with Putin? No, it's a good point, Errol. And I've got to say, I just came from the dentist, so I might come across a bit Rocky Balboa. And this Errol impression was not intentional. Looks good, though. Glad I had a dress shirt here. But at any rate, so these are remarks that Zelensky made this morning, actually, at a joint press conference with Norway's prime minister. He said he plans to meet with U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg and others in preparation for a possible meeting with Putin. Actually, Kellogg was already in Kyiv over the weekend to mark the country's Independence Day and to show his support. In the past, it would have been like parades and parties, but not since the war began. However, as you said, it's a different story from what we're hearing from the Kremlin. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said a meeting is possible, but there's a long way to go. There's a lot of details to work out, essentially parameters that have to be put in place at lower ministerial levels, before they can even think about a timeframe for the two men to meet.
