In the occupied West Bank, the proposal is all over the news and many tuned in to Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu's press conference. But for this man in Hebron, it's raised even more questions than before, particularly around the future of a Palestinian state. More than 150 countries have recognised the Palestinian rights, the Palestinian right to exist. Yet, unfortunately, yesterday's meeting did not address the Palestinian issue at all. In Ramallah, the plan is being received with outrage or scepticism at best. All the points that were presented on Monday are part of a plan that was drafted in 2020 by the Tony Blair Institute and Trump. This is a new colonisation of Palestine with no recognition of a Palestinian state. For now, though, Hamas is still studying the peace plan. There are fears that if the militant group does not accept it, the consequences for Palestinians could be even worse.
