Saja Hamad, a Palestinian woman in Gaza's Deir al-Bala, was rescued after being trapped under rubble when an Israeli bomb destroyed the building where her family was taking refuge. She was taken to Al-Aqsa Hospital for urgent treatment, where she expressed relief that her family survived the attack. 

The Hamad family has been repeatedly displaced due to ongoing Israeli bombing campaigns, with Saja stating this is the 14th time they have lost their home. Like many Palestinians in Gaza, they now face uncertainty about where to go next, as continued airstrikes have left few safe places.

When Saja Hamad was found by rescuers, she was almost entirely covered in rubble. She and her family have been taking refuge in this building in Gaza's Deir al-Bala, when it was destroyed by an Israeli bomb. Once she was safely recovered from the ruins, she was taken to the overwhelmed Al-Aqsa Hospital for urgent treatment. I was screaming, calling for my family, I thought they were dead. Saja is comforted by her family as she lies on the hospital floor. With so many injuries from Israeli attacks, it's the only place they could find for her. But despite the hardship, Saja knows they are all lucky to have survived.
