The sisters, all in their 80s, claim they were sent to the care facility against their will when it was decided they could no longer live independently. With the help of a former student and a locksmith, they re-entered the Goldstein Monastery, where they had lived and taught for decades. While church authorities have expressed disapproval, the nuns have resumed their lives at the convent and are sharing updates on social media, expressing hope to remain there permanently.

The sisters spent decades living and teaching at the Goldstein Monastery and claim in 2023 they were sent to a care home against their will, after it was deemed they could no longer live independently. I think he thought that the sisters would be better off in a retirement home. But you have to ask the sisters first. The sisters broke in with the help of a former student and locksmith. They were told to go into short-term care and that short-term care turned into a year and a half and they kept asking for help. They wanted to go home. Church authorities aren't happy, but the nuns are on cloud nine. We took our vows. That means we live here in this convent and are not transferred somewhere else.
