Hi, my name is Andrew Lewis. I'm an artist, graphic designer, and I have a show at TAP. It's a process from drawings to very abstract paintings. It illustrates the theme called Notes from a Minefield, which is a journey I've had, coping with sort of a COVID fog, post-COVID fog, and sort of the inner workings of subconscious drawings, and then translating those to paintings, to 3D objects, drawings. Yeah, it's been an interesting journey. I saw this video of George Kondo. He's a New York artist, one of my, people I love as artists. Anyway, his process, he just draws, and I don't just draw. I have a plan. I'm like an architect with blueprints. So, these are drawings I started on a Sunday morning. Just started to grab a brush and some paint, and I started making these, and where they came from, I have absolutely no idea, but I've done 200 here at the gallery. I'm showing 160, and they've just all appeared. It's a very surreal experience. And no two are the same. No, they're not, and they've evolved, and some are playful. Some are fun. Some are not. Some are, you know, there's some subconscious deeper, darker things going on, and yeah, positive negative forms. Yeah, it's really exciting. And what do you hope people take away from this exhibit? Oh, I don't know. Well, whatever they want, whatever comes to their mind. I mean, there's a lot of energy, I think, here, and the content is, well, make your mind think. Lots of eye candy to wander around and look at, and lots of different technique, and I think it's, yeah, I'm very, I'm actually very excited about this show. It's a nice journey and progress.
