Karki, who was named prime minister after an agreement with protest leaders, is supported by both the army and the public. The recent unrest, which resulted in over 70 deaths, was sparked by anti-corruption demonstrations and opposition to a ban on social media platforms.

The 73-year-old Sushila Karki was named prime minister on September 12 and was known for standing against corruption in the government. To lead the new government, Sushila Karki is just the right person at the moment because she has the support of the army and the people right now. Her purpose is to hold the election and our hope is that she will complete the task successfully. This comes after more than 70 people were killed during anti-corruption and a ban on social media platforms protests which ousted the Nepal's government. Karki took her north of office last Friday after an agreement with protest leaders from the so-called Gen Z movement.
