For the third time in just six weeks, a Mt Pritchard fruit market has been hit by arsonists. A car was driven into the before being set alight. The attack once again gutting the business which hasn't yet reopened since it was last hit.

A supermarket in Mount Pritchard, New South Wales, has been targeted for the third time in a series of arson attacks. In the latest incident, a car was driven into the store and set on fire, prompting the evacuation of ten people living above the business and a major response from firefighters. Previous attacks include a ute crash and fire in May and an incident on Anzac Day where petrol was poured on the premises. While one person was arrested after the first attack, no suspects have been apprehended for the subsequent incidents. Local residents have expressed confusion and concern about the repeated targeting of the business, as police continue their investigation.

This is a message being sent loud and clear. A supermarket in Mount Pritchard hit for the third time. At about 2am, a car was rammed into the store, then set alight before two men sprinted away. Out of nowhere, we just hear a loud explosion, like a very loud explosion. Above the business, ten people were fast asleep. They were evacuated as firefighters got to work. Six fire trucks, 22 firefighters here, heavy fire activity with a car. It took them 45 minutes to put out, a job crews also had to do on the 6th of May when a fire was started after a ute crashed into the store. Before that, there was the first attack on Anzac Day, when petrol was poured on the supermarket and leaked. It looked like all the shelves and stock was put back in place, but it has been all gutted and destroyed again. After the first attack on this fruit market in April, a person was arrested, but for the two incidents that have followed, no culprit has been caught, something detectives are working to do. Regular customers have told 10 News First they just don't understand why the attacks keep happening. It breaks my heart, you know, because they're very good people, very genuine people, you know, and I have never heard them want to hurt anyone. I don't know why people want to target them like this.
