Justice Department officials say four members of a far-left anti-government group have been arrested for allegedly planning a series of bomb attacks across Southern California on New Year's Eve.

According to officials, the suspects are linked to the far-left anti-government group Turtle Island Liberation Front and allegedly targeted logistics and commercial infrastructure in Los Angeles and Orange County for their symbolic economic impact.

Authorities stated that the suspects discussed and tested explosive devices, rehearsed elements of the plan, and considered expanding attacks beyond New Year's Eve, including possible violence against law enforcement. Law enforcement intervened before any devices were deployed, and materials related to the group, as well as a detailed attack plan, were found during searches of the suspects' residences.
