Police in Victoria are continuing their search for Desi Freeman, the suspect in the deaths of two police officers in Porepunkah. Freeman is considered armed and dangerous, and a large-scale manhunt involving over 450 Victorian police, as well as federal and interstate officers, is underway.

Freeman's wife and teenage son were arrested and questioned but later released without charge. Authorities have widened the search area and urged residents to limit travel, while also warning against assisting the fugitive. Community members and officials have paid tribute to the fallen officers, as the investigation and search efforts continue.
