We're here to show you more of Lumines Arise, a block-dropping puzzle game that's more than just a puzzle game, packed with single and multiplayer content. It's releasing on PlayStation 5 and Steam on November 11th, 2025, and there's a demo out now on both platforms. Search for Lumines Arise and you'll find it. Today we're going to show you four stages we've never shared before, and they're not in the demo. Since it's October, I feel like we need to start this video with some spooky vibes. So how about this? Spider webs. Very fitting for the season. And this game is all about the vibes. The whole game is all about the visuals, music, and gameplay, making you feel these intense emotions, like fear. It's worth mentioning here that the accessibility options have both a spider and snake filter. So if you have a real fear of either one, you can turn them off. What's the snake filter for? Well, we haven't shown off that stage. Let's take a hard turn from spooky to something more whimsical. Slice and dice. When I first saw this stage, I then realized that our team at Enhance is cooking something truly amazing. Cooking something. That's very good. The narrative across all of the single-player journey mode is about encouraging an emotional response. This one feels so different from all the stages that came before it. Definitely a moment that'll give you a smile. That happens a couple times throughout the game. This is a good time to mention the basic gameplay in case you're new to the Luminous series. Blocks drop into the playfield, often containing two different patterns. The goal is to form squares of 2x2 or larger of the same color or pattern. In larger matches, the game counts the number of 2x2 squares that could fit into that space. The timeline then sweeps across the screen to the beat of the music and clears matches you've made. Luminous Arise has many modes and training missions to let you hone your skills. Okay, on the other side of the spectrum from a chill stage like Slice and Dice, we have this very upbeat, fast-moving stage set in the jungle called Tropical Survival. Notice you've got birds on the sidelines cheering you on and there's water just pouring into the playfield too. There's a lot happening in this stage. On that note, you can go into the accessibility options at any time to reduce the effects or turn them off completely to personalize your gameplay experience. Here, we're showing how adjusting some of those settings will impact what you see when playing the game. Notice the playfield no longer moves or zooms in and out and there's now an all-black background behind the playfield allowing you to see the block patterns more easily. Let's talk about the gameplay twist new to Luminous Arise. First, as you play, a number above the timeline increases. From 50% to a max at 100, you can hit L2 or R2 to stop a match from clearing and build it up as large as possible. Adjacent blocks of the opposite pattern fly to the top of the screen as you grow your burst match, only to fall back down when it's all over, creating an even bigger screen clearing opportunity. Burst really is the key for surviving and amping up your score. Heading away from the jungle, now we're looking at Neon Streets, one of the more hectic feeling stages in the game. While we've shown this stage before, it's a good time to talk about the No Stress Luminous accessibility option. There are three settings to it. One lets you control when blocks drop into the playfield. It won't do that automatically. So you can take your time to figure out block positioning if you want to. Another clears the playfield instead of giving you a game over when you top out. And the third type makes both of those active so you can really play at your own pace. One of the key goals with Luminous Arise is we wanted everyone of all skill levels to enjoy the game and not get too stressed out.
