But it was also number one at the box office this weekend grossing nearly 20 million dollars. I honestly didn't think it was even possible for a movie to be this popular really. Kang went from hiding her Korean pop or K-pop posters from her non-Korean friends growing up in Toronto. They thought it was kind of funny and made fun of it. To creating the next big thing. Just makes me really proud. If you go by what audiences are looking for then you are actually going to have the most success. Turns out what audiences are looking for is a movie like this about a superhero K-pop girl group saving the world from a soul-sucking demon boy band. This is the perfect time I think for a movie like this. Films are meant to be escapism. And as this young superfan points out the soundtrack is also topping the music charts. Them slaying demons in the mix of songs they do, I just love it. This family went to one of the sing-along screenings in Toronto. People were really really into it, even the adults. From characters to cosplay, dances to learn. What's this? A lot I can teach you. Songs to sing. K-pop demon hunter cracked the code of what it now takes to slay across all platforms. Mom's excited for a sequel. I hope that potentially there will be another one so that we don't have those same three songs on repeat for the rest of my life.
