A woman kidnapped during an armed home invasion in Sydney's south-west has been found three days later in rural New South Wales. Police are calling for witnesses to come forward to aid their investigation.

A 42-year-old woman was kidnapped during an armed home invasion in Reesby, Sydney's south-west, and was found three days later by the side of a road in the Wallandalee Shire, approximately 50 kilometres from where she was taken. Passers-by discovered her barefoot and with injuries consistent with a possible assault, including bruising to her face and neck. 

Police are currently investigating the circumstances of her disappearance and the events that took place during the three days she was missing. While there are suspicions of sexual assault, this has not been confirmed. The woman is now in a stable condition in hospital, and authorities are appealing for witnesses to assist in the ongoing investigation.

Well, Sandra, police are still piecing together many of the details, but a woman was found barefoot along a semi-rural road in the Wallandalee Shire this morning. But this horrible ordeal all began on Sunday, when police were called to an armed home invasion in Reesby, where a 42-year-old woman was kidnapped. She was found by passers-by near Eagles Road at Razorback around 11 o'clock this morning. So exactly what's happened in that three-day window is what's currently being investigated. Detectives were today looking along the dead-end road with only a handful of homes surrounded by dense bushland for any clues that might be helpful. Now, the woman's injuries are consistent with a possible assault. Paramedics treated her on scene for bruising to the right side of her face and to her neck. And there are suspicions of sexual assault, but that's yet to be confirmed. She's now in a stable condition in hospital, and police are tonight appealing for any witnesses to come forward as this investigation continues. Sandra? Let's hope they do. Olivia there, thank you.
