Racing the clock to make it back for September, it's been a physical and mental battle with a recurring bone injury in his foot. You don't really want to have a pin ripped out of your foot, another one put in. If you have three naviculars, it can kind of spell the end of your career. So as soon as that thought comes into your head, it gets pretty dark. It's even darker when you're trying to block out external noise. I've got people saying there's arthritis in my foot and I won't be able to run again. You kind of hear all these rumours and murmurings and I don't necessarily buy into it, but just naturally you kind of hear it. On the flip side, Adam Kingsley is perhaps a little too optimistic. Kingsley's injury is a funny one, he thinks you can just put a needle in all of it, it's a bone, you can't really do it. The real takeaway from Hogan's surgeon? The pin's not going to snap and my foot's not going to snap in half. Sam Taylor pushed through some injury to be named All-Australian for a second time last night. The last two years, well the last three years, I've experienced a few injuries and to come back and still miss a few games this year and to achieve this, I'm hugely honoured.
