President Trump arrives in Israel on Monday to a deeply grateful nation. Middle East envoy Steve Whitcoff and the president's son in law, Jared Kushner, are already in Israel and we're in hostage square tonight. Our brothers and sisters, you are coming home. A hero's welcome for Middle East Envoy Steve Whitcoff to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. I was in the trenches with the prime minister. Believe me, he was a very important part here. But Whitcoff was never going to win with this crowd for more than two years, have lived through heartbreak, despair and rage, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of failing to end the war and bring loved ones in captivity home. Now that the ceasefire is in place, the hostages must be released by Monday in exchange for nearly 2000 Palestinian prisoners. Whitcoff also briefly entered Gaza, where the true scale of the devastation is starting to unfold. As Israeli troops withdrew to an agreed upon line, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians started going home. Many have returned to find whole neighborhoods flattened. Like Umm Mohamed Samour, these are the only belongings she managed to salvage. We left everything when we fled and now our house is gone, she said. I'm going to have to live in a tent near the rubble of my home until I can find a solution. The United Nations will flood the territory with humanitarian aid, saying the entire population of Gaza needs some kind of food assistance. The United Nations is scaling up, Tom, and is planning to bring in food, water, medical supplies and makeshift shelters over the next 60 days.
