We were warned to leave the school building as an Israeli airstrike was imminent. We ran for our lives. The missile hit hard, and when we returned, we found it as you can see. The place was turned into a wasteland, nothing left, not a mattress or blanket. This man says the Israeli military gave them minutes to leave the area. We ran as missiles started to pour down a few seconds later. We could not grab anything. I have nothing left but the phone in my hand. That's it. If we had hesitated for seconds, we'd be blown to pieces. There's rage outside al-Shifa Hospital. Another Israeli airstrike killed more than a dozen members of the same family sheltering in al-Tawam neighborhood. This boy's lost his father and his brother. He's been orphaned. He doesn't have anyone left. My uncle's home was destroyed. Have some mercy. Israeli drones hover above them, but the civil defense teams keep running back inside. Their work not done yet.
