Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the incident a 'tragic mishap,' expressed regret, and promised an investigation, reiterating that civilians are not intentionally targeted by the Israeli Defense Forces.

The strikes have drawn strong international criticism, with Canada labeling the attacks 'horrifying and unacceptable.' The United Nations emphasized the need for journalists and medical staff to work without intimidation. The Committee to Protect Journalists noted this conflict is the deadliest for journalists it has ever recorded, with more than 10 Palestinian reporters killed in recent weeks.
