According to India's Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri, the agreement stipulated that both sides would stop all firing and military action on land, in the air, and at sea starting from a specified time.

However, Indian officials have stated that Pakistan repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement between the two countries. Reports indicate that Indian shelling resulted in at least 11 deaths and 56 injuries in several areas near the Line of Control in Kashmir. This latest exchange marks another escalation in the longstanding conflict between India and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Indian shelling killed at least 11 people and wounded 56 others overnight in several areas near the line of control in Kashmir. The fresh round of confrontation was yet another escalation of a decades-long conflict.
