Organizers estimated the turnout at around 100,000, with demands including a halt to German arms exports to Israel, unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza, the return of Israeli hostages, and a permanent ceasefire.

The protest, organized by about 50 groups including major NGOs, was mostly peaceful, with a significant police presence deployed across the city. However, a smaller demonstration was shut down by police due to what authorities described as illegal behavior. Recent polls indicate growing support in Germany for the recognition of Palestinian statehood.

We believe at this point international sanctions and pressure on Israel are the only thing that can stop the genocide and war and bring to a ceasefire. The genocide is still ongoing. It's getting worse every day and it has to end. For this to happen, we all need to take to the streets and do something about it. Because my people are committing genocide in Gaza. Because as an Israeli Jew, I saw two years ago how my friends and family became complete fascists. The protest, dubbed All Eyes on Gaza, was organised by around 50 groups including pro-Palestinian organisations and major NGOs like Amnesty International. Their demands include an immediate halt to German arms exports to Israel, unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza, the return of the Israeli hostages and a permanent ceasefire. We're taking to the streets and trying to put pressure on the, I have to say, shameful government here in this country. The German government should no longer take part in this genocide as they have until now. Recent pro-Palestinian protests have become a flashpoint for clashes between police and attendees. Berlin police say around 1,800 police officers were deployed across the city and that while this protest was peaceful, a smaller demonstration of around 1,200 people was shut down because of what they called illegal behaviour. Videos like this one are circulating online, showing a violent incident at the smaller protest. We used direct force in the form of pushing and at times when we encountered significant resistance, we struck people to assert ourselves. We got the job done. Opposition to Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip, along with support for Palestinian statehood has grown in Germany in recent months, with a recent poll finding the majority of Germans support recognition.

Hezbollah has commemorated one year since the death of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed by Israel during their conflict. At a gathering in Beirut, the group's secretary-general Naim Qassem reaffirmed Hezbollah's refusal to disarm, despite ongoing Israeli attacks and a ceasefire agreement.
