Pentagon officials have announced that approximately 1,700 National Guard troops will be sent to 19 states as part of the Trump administration's ongoing efforts to address high crime and support immigration enforcement. Over 2,000 National Guard soldiers are already patrolling the nation's capital, with additional deployments to cities like Chicago and New York being considered.

The White House stated that the National Guard will assist the Department of Homeland Security with clerical support at ICE facilities, particularly in processing individuals accused of illegal immigration. The announcement coincides with an FBI raid on the home and office of former national security adviser John Bolton, as authorities search for classified information.

There are now over 2,000 National Guard soldiers patrolling the streets of the nation's capital and President Trump says others could be deploying to other major cities very soon. We're gonna make our cities very, very safe. Chicago's a mess. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent, so I think Chicago will be our next and then we'll help with New York. Last year the murder rate in DC was on par with Chicago and nearly four times higher than Los Angeles and nearly six times higher than New York. Congressman Pat Fallon says DC needs to be cleaned up. And even with DC hooking the books on their crime statistics, you're three and a half times more likely to be killed in DC than you were in 2012 when a serious crime was committed. And from 2018 to 2023 carjackings are up 550% so things are out of control and thank goodness President Trump has taken these again bold actions. 1,700 National Guard members will also be deployed in 19 states. The White House says they will help DHS with clerical support for processing illegal aliens at ICE facilities. Early Friday morning FBI agents raided the home of Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton. After returning to office Trump pulled his security clearance and protective detail. FBI agents were also seen at Bolton's Washington office carrying boxes of documents likely searching for classified information. The president admits he doesn't like Bolton very much, who wrote a book critical of the president. I'm not a fan of John Bolton. I thought he was a sleazebag actually.
