ANO also plans to bring independent public media under direct state budget funding. Critics see this as a red flag for media independence. Several Czech citizens Reuters interviewed in Ostrava say they will back Babis in the October 3rd to 4th election. This resident says the current government has brought the republic to complete devastation and that Babis is the only suitable successor. And this local says everything will change for the better. ANO is comfortably leading in opinion polls and is en route to win most votes, though not as a majority.

After meeting for about an hour with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President Trump said he believes Ukraine can win back all of its territory from Russia "in its original form."
