Local civil society organisations report that nearly 80% of their headquarters and aid facilities have been destroyed, and they are experiencing a severe financial crisis due to a decline in international funding.

Israel continues to block critical humanitarian aid from the United Nations and the World Food Programme, instead allowing distribution primarily through sites managed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a group supported by Israel and the United States. This has created significant barriers for local organisations and forced Palestinians to risk their lives to access limited aid, with many expressing a desire for international agencies to resume direct distribution.

And those still trying to deliver aid are being killed or wounded. Palestinian civil society organisations have been subjected to numerous attacks, resulting in the killing of 230 aid workers, the injury of hundreds more, and the destruction of nearly 80% of their headquarters and humanitarian aid facilities. These organisations are also facing a severe financial crisis due to the sharp decline in international funding. Israel continues to block critical humanitarian aid from the United Nations and the World Food Programme. It's only allowing distribution through sites managed by its notorious GHF group. One of the most serious obstacles we face is the creation of an alternative mechanism for aid delivery, bypassing local humanitarian organisations. This includes entities like the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, supported by Israel and the United States, which aim to privatise aid delivery through private companies and whose shelters are mainly located in southern Gaza. These are among the major barriers facing the Al-Qaeda Foundation. Palestinians are under immense pressure, either face death by starvation or head to dangerous distribution sites. UNRWA doesn't give us any aid. We wish the UN agency and official bodies would take over the distribution again, because going to places like Zikm is dangerous. People are dying there. I can't go. I feel trapped. I might be able to get a food parcel, but I can't feed my children.
