The Derby fire in Eagle County has significantly increased in size, expanding from 245 acres to 839 acres. This rapid growth has led to mandatory evacuation orders for Sweetwater Road and parts of Colorado River Road, with Derby Mesa Loop under pre-evacuation status. 

Authorities have set up an evacuation center at the Two Rivers Community Center to assist residents. Updates and evacuation zones are available on local news platforms and official websites.

The Garfield County Sheriff's Office says the fire jumped from 245 acres last night to 839 acres today. Mandatory evacuations are in effect for Sweetwater Road and areas of Colorado River Road from Sweetwater to Red Dirt Creek. Derby Mesa loop is under pre evacuations at this time.
