A Cleveland police officer, Brian Brunner, was arrested by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI) following a crash. The incident occurred when Brunner, while off duty, allegedly drove a black Chevrolet Silverado through an intersection and nearly collided head-on with a sheriff's vehicle that was blocking traffic at an entrance ramp.

Brunner, who has served as a police officer since 2018, was taken into custody and is currently on restricted duty. The Cleveland Police Department has confirmed his arrest and ongoing employment status.

According to Cuyahoga County officials, the deputy was blocking traffic for the entrance ramp of Warren Road and 90 westbound about one o'clock this morning. That's when officials say a black Chevrolet Silverado drove through the intersection, nearly hitting the C. C. S. D. Vehicle head on Cleveland. Police confirmed the driver of the Silverado officer, Brian Brunner, was arrested by the sheriff's office on suspicion of O. V. I. He was off duty at the time of the crash and has been a police officer since 2018. He is currently on restricted duty.
